Lucky Bay kangaroos are not a daily guarantee
Western grey kangaroos use Lucky Bay, especially quieter hours — and they may stay at camp. Do not feed. Do not invent a wildlife show.

Lucky Bay kangaroos (illustrative)

The signature shot is real: western grey kangaroos on white sand. It is also not a scheduled feeding. Visitors who stay several nights sometimes see them only at camp. That is still Cape Le Grand.
The kangaroo plate on this site is labelled AI-generated / illustrative because a usable Commons photograph was not available at build. Do not treat it as a documentary frame of a specific animal.
Not walked for this date — planning from Explore Parks WA / DBCA public pages. Confirm live alerts, fees and track status before you travel.
How to behave
No food. No chasing into dunes. No surrounding an animal for a phone. 1080 baiting is ongoing in the park — another reason dogs are banned and wildlife is not a petting zoo.
Where they actually are
Quieter hours on the sand help. Midday peak often does not. Camp and dune edges are common even when the beach is empty of kangaroos. That is still Lucky Bay — do not invent a feeding station.
About the plate on this site
The kangaroo image used on some cards is labelled AI-generated / illustrative (xAI Imagine) because a usable Commons photograph was not available at build. It is not a documentary photo of a specific animal and must not be read as a guarantee you will see kangaroos on the sand.
